Creating a modern center for outpatient care and research just minutes from Maine Medical Center.

A new 108,000 square foot medical office building is being built on our Scarborough campus to bring together related practices into a regional center for specialty care: neuroscience; ear, nose, and throat (ENT); and vascular surgery practices.

The medical office building will provide a new home for the Neuroscience Institute, Maine’s largest and most complete resource for diagnosing and managing neurological disorders and spinal problems and injuries for patients of all ages.

Expert clinicians and researchers will collaborate to advance a scientific understanding of, and delivery of seamless care to patients multiple neurological disorders including:

  • Stroke
  • Dementia
  • Epilepsy
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Movement disorders
  • Neuromuscular and other disorders

In addition, the ENT practice will feature enhanced services, including allergy therapy, audiology and the Balance Center. Patients will have access to the most advanced treatments, diagnostics, and imaging —including a new state-of-the-art MRI — all in one location, dramatically improving their experience.

Scarborough Specialty Medical Campus

The new facility is a significant investment in our strategy of developing a specialty medical campus in an area that is convenient for our patients throughout the region, with easy highway access and ample parking. It is one of the keystone projects in our ongoing Master Facilities Expansion and Modernization Plan, which includes the Coulombe Family Tower and Sisters Heliport addition, the Visitor’s Garage expansion, the St. John Street garage and the Congress Street medical building now under construction.

The practices at 92 Campus Drive join the Scarborough Surgery Center, MaineHealth Institute for Research, MMP – MaineHealth Cardiology, MMP Women’s Health Division of Gynecologic Oncology, the Maine Children’s Cancer Program and MMC Outpatient Imaging at the campus

“It is important that our colleagues work in facilities that reflect the world-class care they provide to their patients. This investment is not only in our facilities, but in our colleagues, our practices, and in the care of our patients.”
