The NEXT 150 | The Campaign for Maine Medical Center has reached its original fundraising goal of $150 million! We have expanded our goal and will raise an additional $20 million for facilities modernization to address urgent workforce shortages and a soaring daily patient census highlighting the need for more patient beds.
Facilities:
Raising $120 million to add 478,000 square feet of modern spaces to keep up with growing demand; and expanding our goal in order to build out a sterile processing unit and 32 new critical needs beds for immediate and future inpatient care.
Academics:
Raising $25 million to educate more physicians, specialists, nurses, and clinicians Maine so urgently needs.
Innovation:
Raising $25 million to continue playing a key role in reimagining healthcare for our state, region, and nation.

The Malone Family Tower:
- Lead Lined Sheetrock begins in OR suites.
- Bean bridge steel erection begins 1/9.
- Hot applied roofing continues (weather dependent).
- Level 6 punch window installation continues.
- OR boom supports installation continues.
- Atrium hoist install continues.
- Level 3 Green roof hydrotech roofing continues.
- Lead Lined Sheetrock begins in OR suites.
- Exterior curtain wall installation and glazing continues.
- Electrical rough-in for medical equipment ongoing.
- IT and CE conduits and pathways continues.
- The structure is being fireproofed.
- Mechanical and electrical infrastructure is being delivered and installed in the
building on all levels. - Steel stud framing, exterior sheathing, interior wall layout continues.
- State Fire Marshal in-wall inspections, local city inspections continue.
