Malone Family Tower
Building a hub for advanced cardiovascular care at Maine Medical Center.
As the centerpiece of our expansion, the six-story Malone Family Tower will be a center of excellence bringing together cardiac units currently spread across the Bramhall campus.
Located on the site of the former employee parking garage, the tower’s new entrance will reorient the hospital toward Congress Street and away from the residential West End. More than 24,000 patients and their families will enter Maine Medical Center through these doors each year.
The tower will feature:
- 96 private universal rooms
- 19 procedure rooms – including cardiac catheterization labs, and several hybrid operating rooms
- Modern lounges for families and staff
- Private consult rooms
- Centrally located staff workstations with lines of sight into patient rooms
- Rooftop garden terrace and walkway
- Interprofessional collaboration workrooms
- A consolidated Sterile Processing Department providing efficient and easy travel for surgical supplies within the Malone Family Tower and to the existing operating rooms in the adjacent Bean building
